Stercom Power Solutions has been selected, together with other companies, to advise the Bavarian State Government on the further development of the Battery Strategy 2026.

As part of this process, Stercom contributed its expertise through an expert interview conducted with CEO Martin Kutschker. In addition, the company’s technical perspective was incorporated into a workshop with stakeholders from industry, research and government, where key areas for the future direction of battery technology and its industrial implementation were discussed.

It became clear that, beyond technological aspects, the entire battery value chain must be considered – from system integration and raw material availability to recycling concepts and the diversification of international supply chains in order to reduce dependencies.

From Stercom’s perspective, a key topic is the growing importance of battery storage systems as critical infrastructure. This is closely linked to the requirement to source essential system components, such as battery management systems, from trusted European suppliers to ensure long-term security and control.

In addition, the importance of closer collaboration between industry, research institutions and smaller companies was highlighted, in order to accelerate innovation and strengthen competitiveness.

Equally important are clear and reliable political framework conditions. A consistent strategy and long-term planning certainty are seen as essential prerequisites for enabling investment and advancing the industrial development of battery technologies in Europe.

The prioritized measures are currently being consolidated and will be incorporated into the further development of the Bavarian Battery Strategy. The official results will be presented by State Minister Hubert Aiwanger on May 20 at the Bavarian Battery Congress. Stercom will also be represented at the event.

Through its involvement in this process, Stercom Power Solutions reinforces its role as a technology partner for high-performance energy storage and battery systems. In particular, the company contributes its expertise in power electronics, system architecture and battery management systems for demanding applications.
