The construction site of the future is quiet, emission-free and energy-efficient. Whether it's inner-city construction sites, tunnel construction or mining – electric drives offer decisive advantages. They enable work to be carried out without exhaust emissions, reduce operating costs and actively contribute to meeting environmental regulations. Mining vehicles also benefit from lower ventilation costs and higher operational reliability under extreme conditions.
The use of emission-free construction vehicles is financially supported by government programmes such as the BMDV's KsNI ("Climate Protection Programme for Sustainable Mobility"). Not only vehicles are eligible for funding, but also charging infrastructure. At the European level, the Clean Vehicles Directive sets binding standards for public procurement. In addition, the VDI guideline 2283 and DIN EN 12101 apply to tunnel construction sites, which define requirements for air quality and ventilation – requirements that are more easily met by electric drives.
