Construction Vehicles

The future of the construction site is electric. Efficient, clean and quiet.

The construction site of the future is quiet, emission-free and energy-efficient. Whether it's inner-city construction sites, tunnel construction or mining – electric drives offer decisive advantages. They enable work to be carried out without exhaust emissions, reduce operating costs and actively contribute to meeting environmental regulations. Mining vehicles also benefit from lower ventilation costs and higher operational reliability under extreme conditions.

Advantages

  • Emission-free operation: Ideal for enclosed spaces, tunnels and city centres – no CO₂, NOₓ or particulate emissions.
  • Quiet drive: Enables work in noise-sensitive areas and at extended operating times.
  • Lower operating costs: Less maintenance, lower energy costs, longer component life.
  • High robustness: Shock-resistant, temperature-resistant systems for demanding applications.
  • Better air quality: Reduced fresh air requirements in underground mining save enormous ventilation costs.

Funding Programs & Standards

The use of emission-free construction vehicles is financially supported by government programmes such as the BMDV's KsNI ("Climate Protection Programme for Sustainable Mobility"). Not only vehicles are eligible for funding, but also charging infrastructure. At the European level, the Clean Vehicles Directive sets binding standards for public procurement. In addition, the VDI guideline 2283 and DIN EN 12101 apply to tunnel construction sites, which define requirements for air quality and ventilation – requirements that are more easily met by electric drives.
